All About Green Lemonade

Women deserve to know how to live life to feel their best.

“We put the wrong emphasis on what beauty and health is. Health is being vibrant and having energy and being happy.” Ellen DeGeneris

Green Lemonade began simply as my inspiration board for living a healthier life. Several years ago I realized, as many of us have, that eating whole, less processed, REAL foods is a healthier way to live and a surprisingly great way to feel happy and full of energy. And man, with some dedication and a bit of exercise, your skin starts to truly glow. But it’s hard to know where to start.

After reading many books, studying a plethora of online and offline resources, as well as speaking to several gurus in the contemporary healthy living field, I wished there was a community I could turn to as it related to a more natural, diet-free lifestyle. And when I couldn’t find one, that’s when I was inspired to take my personal inspiration journal and share it in hopes of bringing together a much larger community. If you think about it, like-minded people on a similar journey often offer some of the best support, guidance and resources.

In the beginning, Green Lemonade will mostly be a collection of my journaling, inspiration and resources. But my hope is that over time this will change and together we can build an online community filled with creative ways to eat and prepare more fresh, whole, REAL foods, as well as populate a database filled with resources for natural products and services. I’m especially hopeful about the recipe sharing, for me the hardest part with eating a healthy, whole foods diet is continually inspiring my palette with new tastes and flavors.

All told, Green Lemonade represents a whole body, back to basics approach to healthy living.

Weclome!

A Warm Thank You

Green Lemonade is heavily inspired by Dr. T. Colin Campbell’s work in The China Study, detox veteran Natalia Rose, functional medicine and “Clean” author Dr. Alejandro Junger, health practitioner Dr. Joel Fuhrman as well as authors Michael Pollan and Nina Planck – upbeat advocates today for helping people return to real, natural eating. Without these individuals, we’d be doomed to calorie counting and endless diet obsession.

I’d also like to give a special shout out to Natalia Rose for her work in particular around cleansing and detoxification. Amidst a sea of misinformation, agendas and skeptics, she has been instrumental in helping to provide an intelligent education on what it means to truly detox and cleanse. Its been a life changing experience for so many, including me.
