Healthy Party Snacks
This Sunday, I'm looking forward to inviting a few friends over to enjoy ...
Hi, I’m Noelle.
In 2007, then a late-twenty-something Wall Street analyst, I found myself feeling the wear of a lifestyle of grab-and-go lunches, client wining and dining and extensive traveling. Eager for an influx of energy, and unable to find any viable alternatives, I tried all the trends: crashed and burned on crash diets, calorie counted, pounded protein shakes and energy bars. The conclusion: Not only do fad-diets not work, they’re no fun!
Exhausted by the trends and frustrated by the lack of accessible information involving cleanses, and diets hinging on live and raw foods, I decided it was time to get back to basics. From there, through trial and error, I crafted my own approach—one designed for balanced eating and boosted energy with flexibility for fitness and fun. I discovered rejuvenating cleanses (that involved more than just syrup and cayenne pepper!) and concocted delicious recipes for manageable, natural cleansing with pressed juices, smoothies, and live and organic foods. I combined this with plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables, a sensible amount of protein and dairy, an active existence and plenty of fresh air. This new lifestyle of clean, natural eating soon left my skin aglow, increased my alertness and energy levels, and didn’t stunt my social life. Success!
Impassioned to share the recipe for feeling fresh and fabulous—and looking it, too—I created Green Lemonade to share my simple, natural ways to nourish and cleanse the mind, body and anything around me. Born from both the lessons of successes (detox 101: yes!) and failures (gym-rat-diet: no!), Green Lemonade provides practical—and palatable—tips, tricks and recipes to help everyone design his or her own happy, energetic and well-nourished lifestyle.
I live happily and healthily in New York City with my husband, Thomas and newborn son Halston.

Other forms of cleansing – beyond the food you eat
Cleansing your bod of crud is one way to detox, but limiting the crud you put into your body is also a form of detoxing. You might start by reducing the time you spend with acquaintances or friends who bring you down. Or maybe this year is the time when you commit to giving up smoking. I have personally really enjoyed upgrading a few of my favorite beauty creams and lotions. You might also be interested in a few of these easy beauty upgrades.
