Prepare Your Body For Pregnancy: The Benefits

As many of you know, this beauty is having a baby! My journey toward motherhood over the past few months has been such a joy and a delight. I believe it has to do with the time I spent preparing my body for pregnancy. Eating more high quality foods and indulging in nutrient-dense smoothies and freshly pressed juices (I will share more on this) led the way for me over the past year.

Below I’ve outlined some of the benefits I have experienced over the last few months. Cleansing and natural health pioneers believe that feeling this good during pregnancy often indicates a healthy, well-prepared body. Other health gurus might also point to a placebo affect. I won’t argue either way. I feel too good!

Prepare your body for pregnancy: The benefits
  1. The ability to get pregnant fast. There are hundreds of thoughts behind the strategies here (like these ideas), but I think that creating a fertile and nurturing environment is the key.

  2. No morning sickness during my first trimester. There are varied views as to why this may have been the case. Cleansing and natural health pioneers believe this indicates a healthy body.

  3. Fairly stable blood sugar levels. I think a clean and consistent diet filled with lots of fruits, veggie-filled salads, quality grains and lean proteins have helped. I haven’t felt faint or needed to have snack bars on hand to avoid sudden and intense hunger pangs. I also haven’t had any crazy pregnancy cravings.

  4. No huge emotional charges high or low.

  5. Good energy levels.

  6. Exercise still feels really good. And thanks to good energy levels I have been able to continue a regular fitness practice. A good sweat can be such a mental charge, don’t you think? Yoga and walking have been working very well for me, personally.
