How To Prepare Your Body For Pregnancy: Step 4 – Try A Gentle Cleanse
Incorporate Nutritious, Real Foods

These are my three favorite ways to accomplish a gentle, healthy pre-pregnancy cleanse. One of them is not necessarily better than another. It’s all about you and where you are in your journey to eat more simple foods. The key is to gradually prepare your body first. (Learn more here.) All of these cleanses consist of nutritious foods that are easily recognized and digested by your body. This then allows more of your body’s energy to be spend on rejuvenation and baby prep work. If only for the placebo effect, consider trying one of these cleanses. You might do one of these cleanses once a week, once a month, or for 2-3 days every few months.
Most gentle pre-pregnancy cleanse
Eliminate sugars and refined flours. Keep vegetarian and dairy free until dinner. A sample day might look like this.
Gentle pre-pregnancy cleanse

Still gentle pre-pregnancy cleanse
Eliminate sugars and refined flours. Sip on freshly pressed juices until dinner. Dinner would be a vegetarian dinner. A sample day might look like this. Don’t feel like making your own juice? Indulge with a juice and raw food meal delivery from the gals at the BluePrint Cleanse. If you live in New York City, you might also check out Organic Avenue. They are both fabulous!

Note: If you are pregnant or think you might be pregnant, don’t flood your body with nutrient rich veggie juices and smoothies alone. You will release too many toxins and overwhelm your little one. As you add in more fresh fruit, smoothies, juices and raw foods, keep up with your cooked foods to keep the pace of your bod’s detoxification work in check.
