Heading Home This Week? Airplane Detox

Heading on a long flight this week? Take advantage of the time in the air and treat yourself to a mini-airplane detox. It’s really quite simple. Just fill your body with the most water-dense hydrating foods that you can. Simple, hydrating foods give your body christmas tips and tricksboth nourishment and the power to clean and scrub old crusty gunk in that precious bod of yours that may be showing up as cellulite, skin irritations, low energy and bad holiday moods. Keeping well hydrated on the plane, can also help boost your resistance to germs.

Airplane Detox
  1. Drink water. Pick up a few bottles of water in the airport. Add a splash of fresh lemon or juice to the water if you like.
  2. Skip the nuts. Nuts are super dense and hard to digest (especially when flying!). Keep munchies at bay with a crisp apple or a juicy orange. A banana would also be a nice treat.
  3. Skip airplane food. Pick up a veggie packed salad instead…and a nice piece of dark chocolate (>70% cocoa) if you’re craving something sweet.
  4. Enjoy herbal tea liberally. Skip the coffee and focus on staying hydrated instead.
