Take advantage of a slower week ahead of the Christmas holiday and trade in your lunch hour for a quick stop at the gym. Or even better – an hour of hot power yoga. I recently had the chance to sneak away to Pure Yoga here in New York City for a Hot Power (Yoga) Lunch Hour. A warm room, some stretching and a good sweat is not to be underestimated.
The benefits of sweating
Sweating is one of the best things you can do to cleanse and rejuvenate your body. Your skin is the body’s largest organ, and through a good sweat, plays a big part in helping your body detox and renew itself. Tension and anxiety has to go somewhere! Shed holiday stresses, relieve an overthinking mind and aid in your body’s cleansing and repairwork through a good sweat this week. Whether you’re cranking it out with a good sweat on a jog, in a cycling class, on a brisk walk or in a yoga class, remember that you’re doing a tremendous gift to your mental and physical health.
