In an effort to further introduce you to the vibrancy and fun of this way of living, I wanted to introduce you to “summer” in the Hamptons. It’s here, and more specifically in the relaxed, low-key town of Montauk, where I’ve witnessed the most inspiring interpretation of this feel-good lifestyle. Take advantage of these last few moments of summer to celebrate fresh, feel-good living with a few easy recipes. Considered by many to be the very last gem on the string of the famous Hampton pearls, Montauk is located at the very end of Long Island, New York. Montauk, however, is very different from the other Hamptons. It is a low-key town of fishermen and surfers. Beauties out here like to enjoy good sport and healthy eating. Montauk is located approximately 120 miles northeast of New York City.

Beauties who summer in Montauk are all about being relaxed and having fun. They want the same from their diet. They want it to be budget friendly too. That’s why you’ll see these beauties embracing simple, nutritious meals full of an abundance of fresh, local foods paired with some quality whole grains, meats, fish and dairy – in moderation. There are no fancy supplements or super foods here. It’s a year round diet-free lifestyle that evolves with the seasons. In the summer, you’ll see beauties embracing more fresh foods from the farm stand and local produce markets. In the fall, you’ll notice a shift in the menus toward more warming cooked foods. There is no calorie counting here, but beauties do keep aware of portion sizes. Basically, this way of living is centered on all the basics about “how to eat” that you were taught as a kid, just re-packaged in a beautiful, relaxed way.
