Nalini Method: Tighten & Tone Your Trouble Spots

Interested in mixing up your fitness routine, but not sure where to start? Introduce yourself to the Nalini Method. The Nalini Method was recently introduced at Pure Yoga in New York City and is quickly gaining a loyal following. Created by Rupa Mehta, the Nalini Method is all about personalized instruction and feel-good results with a dash of high-energy and fun. Nalini classes are small, boutique-sized classes which feature a combination of ballet bar work, mat work as well as various targeted exercises using resistance bands, weights, exercise balls and ankle weights.

I recently took a Nalini class and really enjoyed it. I loved how many different elements and props were integrated into the class, and how many muscle groups were targeted over the course of the hour. Here is a short video Rupa was kind enough to work with me on. I wanted to introduce you to a bit of her effervescence and her philosophy of using a simple prop to really mix up an average day at the gym.
