Wondering how to prepare your body and mind for a juice fast? First, reduce stimulants such as tea, coffee, alcohol and junk foods. Meat and dairy should also go. Be mindful about how much wheat, gluten and sugar you consume on a daily basis.
Drink plenty of water and begin to mentally prepare for your detox by reflecting on the benefits you will gain for your health and your body. Consider indulging in a yoga class or two in the week leading up to your fast to mentally prepare body and mind for the fast. Yoga is extremely grounding.
Concentrate your diet as much as you can on salads, soups, vegetables, healthy grains including quinoa, and fruit a few days before you juice.
