Do A Juice Fast That Takes Your Diet History Into Account

Last time when you were out with friends and the mood was just right (and you’d had 2 martinis), the concept of a juice fast for a few days to make up for your latest indulgences seemed like an awesome idea……..

…….Then the next morning, the reality of DRINKING all your meals for a few days set in.

Ease Into A Juice Fast With A Mini-Fast

Instead of such an extreme all or nothing mentality of “cleansing”, give yourself a little lee-way to ease into a cleansing juice fast. If you are coming from a history of heavy eating and processed foods, a 5 day juice fast could actually be more of a setback than a boost to you by awakening too many sleeping toxins too quickly. And if you’re not ready, it could be more than your body can safely handle and eliminate. You would see the results of this in an ambush of detox symptoms including: headaches, sluggishness, skin rashes, etc.

Do this: Consider a modified juice fast or a series of “mini fasts”. Even one day on ‘just juice’ can be a lot if you’re not ready. Be patient with yourself and the detoxification process. A modified or mini juice fast would involve juicing until lunch or juicing until dinner. It could even involve cutting out a late night snack and/ or incorporating a green smoothie or fresh pressed juice for breakfast.

So far there’s been nothing but cheers (more energy, and weight loss) from this gal and her pals over here….we heart the mini juice fasting idea!
