Thank you for sharing your story with us today, Eric. Please tell us a little about yourself.
Hi, I’m Eric Cahan an investor and do business development for Organic Avenue. I am also a photographer. I have Show at the Tripoli Gallery in Southampton, NY from June 24th – July 6th.

Can you give us a little insight into your favorite things to do to be healthy?
My favorite thing to do is yoga at Virayoga in Manhattan with Elena Brower (she is the best). I also run 3 miles at least three times a week. I juice every day, mostly green juices, and eat a lot of alkaline organic raw food.
What are some of your favorite go-to resources for organic produce and foods for those of us on a budget?
The farmers market at Union Square here in New York, Souen Restaurant on Prince Street in Soho (have the Macro Plate) and Bonobo’s on 23rd Street (have the kale salad).
If people wanted to reset after a period of indulgence, what Organic Avenue program might they consider? And if Organic Avenue may not be an option right now, is there one change you might recommend people make for a few days to “reset”?
The Organic Avenue program I would suggest would be the Love Deep cleanse. It has the most impact and is very alkalin-ing. The one change I would recommend is to cut out all flour, wheat, sugar, diary, and any animal product for a week. Try and add two green juices a day.

Can you recommend a retreat or spa for someone who would like a little supervision in their indulgence resetting/detox program? Or even something closer to home to consider? What do you do?
I would recommend We Care Spa in Palm Springs, California. That is a really incredible place and is life changing. If you need to stay closer to home then any of our cleanses are great. Organic Avenue is available for any assistance and coaching during the process.
What inspired you to start enjoying a more veggie-centric lifestyle?
I went to We Care 15 years ago and felt so much better and it was so transformational, that I immediately eliminated sugar, dairy and wheat from my diet. My skin looked better, I lost weight, and had more energy..it just was an obvious thing that I needed to do. Also i think it is very cruel to eat animals of any kind including fish.
What one piece of advice would you give to people just learning about the benefits of a more veggie centric lifestyle?
The best thing you can do for yourself is to put foods that are ALIVE into your system. You will feel and look younger, healthier, and better than you ever have. The more alkaline you make your body by eating greens and veggies, the healthier you become.
Is there a favorite treat you would recommend newcomers to Organic Avenue to pick up?
Chia Seed Tapioca which has more Omega 3’s then salmon.
Some people are intimidated by green juice……what would you recommend?
I would suggest Green Mylk from Organic Avenue. It is a delicious treat and good for you. Why would you have a drink of alcohol but not drink something so healthy and good for you? Also all the Organic Avenue green drinks will surprise you by how delicious they are. Just try one.
When you are traveling and can’t get an Organic Avenue juice or smoothie fix, what do you suggest eating to stay healthy and energized?
Cucumber with Himalayan Salt on it. You can bring the salt with you and get a cucumber from any market. I was just in Mexico and I lived off of Jicama with lime juice, advocados, and coconut.

Thank you Eric!
