Cherry Cardamom Smoothie
Slightly sweet and warming

This week, I was reminded about the temperamental heat in my New York apartment. Earlier in the week, you could have found me almost tucked into a sleeping bag at my computer trying to fend off icicles. On these days, I tend to crave some “warmth” in my smoothies – and usually a little pinch of cardamom will do the trick.
Cherry Cardamom Smoothie
Serving Size: 1 (~200 calories)
Ingredients
1 cup almond milk (I like the Blue Diamond brand, Original)
1 banana, frozen
1/2 cup water
1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom

- Cardamom – Cardamom is a warm, sweet spice. It is considered an excellent digestive and believed to have detoxifying properties.
Directions
Combine the ingredients above into a Blendtec, or good powerful blender until smooth and creamy. Thin with water or thicken with ice if desired. Enjoy!
