Classic Sagaponack Carrot and Celery Juice

Carrot and celery juice is a classic pressed vegetable juice loved by all. This is a great fresh pressed juice to start off your “juicing until dinner,” cleansing day.

Don’t be afraid of the vegetables
Don’t be afraid of the vegetables, or the beautiful orange color. It’s a great juice to start with if you’re just getting into juicing. Picky eaters, husbands, finicky roommates and even kids love it.

For new juicers I recommend using one part celery juice (~4-6 ounces) to two parts or more of the carrot juice (~10 ounces) to get started. Adventurous juicers could consider switching the ratio of carrot and celery juice, with celery juice dominant. Carrot and celery juice is fabulous for mental clarity. I also love to add ½ inch to 1 inch of ginger. Start modestly with the ginger though and try ½ inch first, I think you’ll like the taste.

Don’t have a juicer? Don’t worry!
If you don’t have a juicer, find a juice bar near you and give this classic carrot and celery juice a try. Just don’t cheat yourself, and make sure to put some celery in there too.

I agree, I love beets in a fresh juice. I bought some gold beets this week. Gold beets, beet greens, celery, and 1-2 golden apples makes a nice juice! How about you? What do you combine with your beets?
  • yogajohn
Actually the carrot, celery mix is the base I use most. I am especially looking forward to the local summer vegetables for juicing, the beets really make those summer juices.

so true! what is your favorite juicing base john? carrot? apple? cucumber? etc?
  • yogajohn
I add a whole apple to this mix for just a bit of sweetness. Scrumptious!
