Detox Breakfast: Almond Butter Peach Soft Serve

Do breakfast justice by treating it simply: Enjoy foods that are delicious, AND also considerate of ingredients that are easily recognizable, utilizable and digestible by your body. Feeding your body these types of foods then gives your body more time to focus on its housecleaning, healing and repair work. This “housework” is good for your mood, your happiness and your figure.

You’ll love this Almond Butter Peach Soft Serve inspired by this life changing post. It’s made simply with organic peaches, almond butter and almond milk. This breakfast soft serve is cool and refreshing on these hot summer days. Let me know what you think!

Detox Breakfast: Almond Butter Peach Soft Serve

Serving Size: 2, ~200 calories each

Ingredients

2 cups peaches, frozen + few extra slices for garnish
1/4 cup almond milk (Blue Diamond makes a good one)
2-3 tablespoons almond butter
1/16 TEAspoon Stevia (optional)

Directions

Place peaches, 2 tablespoons of almond butter and 1 tablespoon of almond milk into a food processor. Blend until creamy adding up to 3 or 4 tablespoons of almond milk (~1/4 cup) until you reach a creamy consistency in the peaches. Taste and adjust flavor with a 3rd tablespoon of almond butter and 1/16 TEAspoon of Stevia if desired. Slice up a few extra peach slices for garnish. Enjoy!

Notes

  1. Stevia is a plant native to Central and South America. It is 300 times as sweet as sugar, but has zero calories. A little Stevia goes a long way. I recommend the Nu Naturals brand of Stevia in powdered form.
  2. For convenience, I would recommend checking out the freezer section of your grocery store for organic frozen fruit. It’s great to have on hand for smoothies too!
