This Lemon Smoothie has been a favorite snack of mine lately. It is savory and slightly sweet with a nice sour bite. The perfect afternoon treat.

Better-for-you ingredients
Learn more about the better-for-you ingredients in this recipe:
- Avocados Good quality fats (including avocados, “cloudy” extra virgin olive oil and coconuts), enjoyed in moderation, will actually store in the body as energy and not fat which helps you lose weight in the long run.
- Cucumbers Health darlings love to eat cucumbers as part of a youthful lifestyle. Consisting of over 90% water, cucumbers are a naturally cooling and hydrating food. This water rich food is also packed with beneficial minerals including silica, potassium and magnesium. Silica is believed to improve the complexion and youthful radiance of your skin.
Directions
Take the juice of one lemon and half of a lime and add them to your blender. Combine the avocado, cucumber, water and 1/16th TEAspoon of Stevia. Blend well. Taste. Add another 1/16th TEAspoon of Stevia to sweeten, if desired. Stevia is quite potent. Enjoy!
* Stevia is a plant native to Central and South America. It is 300 times as sweet as sugar, but has zero calories. A little Stevia goes a long way. I recommend the Nu Naturals brand of Stevia in powdered form.
