In Honor of Earth Day: Reusable Produce Bags

In honor of Earth Day consider switching to reusable, plastic-free produce bags. They are great for the environment and also great for you! After all, we’re all trying to limit our plastic exposure these days.
Here are two great reusable produce bag options.
Both bags are great options. Benefits include:
- size. Both bags are ~ 12 x 14 inches – similar to plastic bags at the grocery store.
- a lightweight weave. The weave in these bags allows moisture to escape from lettuces and spinach so your greens don’t get soggy.
- ease of care. The bags are convenient to wash and quick to dry.
- affordability. The bags are affordable and are competitively priced. Flip and Tumble bags come in a grouping of 5 bags for $11 on Amazon. GardenSac bags come in a package of 2 for $3.99 on Amazon.
- great “green” gifts. These bags are a great gift for everyone looking to go a little more “green.”
The key difference in the two bags are in the materials. Flip and Tumble bags consist of a mesh polyester weave. The holes in the weave are a little larger making produce price stickers slightly easier to view at checkout. The GardenSac bags are made of 100% cotton, and have a slightly tighter weave. These bags may require a little more negotiating at checkout to locate prices, but nothing considerable.
Happy Earth Day!
