Today the most popular juicers for making juice at home are from the Breville family of juicers. Most veteran cleansers have them. The Norwalk Juicer, originally designed by raw juice therapy pioneer Dr. Norman Walker, is also fabulous. This juicer definitely makes some of the best nutrient-rich juice on the market. However it is very expensive and not quite as user friendly for those new to juicing. All the best juice shops use this juicer because of the high quality of the juice which will store in your fridge for up to three days.

Breville Juicers Most Popular Juicers For Making Juice At Home

Breville juicers are some of the most popular juicers on the market because they are safe, simple to use and quick to clean. The Breville juicer comes in just a few parts which can be disassembled and tossed in your dishwasher. Breville juicers also have a clean stainless steel finish and powerful motors to produce great juice in little time. The “feed” hole is also a little wider so all of your veggies don’t have to be cut up in tiny pieces. This is a huge advantage and something that is only appreciated after a juicer is purchased for the first time.

The Breville family of juicers come with a one to three year warranty, compared to other manufacturers who offer up to ten year warranties. While some users have expressed concerns about the lifetime of the motor, the ease of the juicing experience and the ease of clean up keeps this juicer a favorite among detox beauties. The new, higher end Breville juicers however appear to tackle some of these motor complaints.

Breville Juice Fountain Elite – Premium Breville Juicer

In the Breville family, the top of the line model is the Breville Juice Fountain Elite 800 JEXL. It contains the most powerful moter and a swanky stainless steel finish. It can be purchased on Amazon.com for ~$250 – $275. It comes with a 1000 watt motor and 2 speed controls – high and low. The stainless steel casing on the model also prevents staining from the vegetables.

Breville Juice Fountain Compact – Entry Level Breville Juicer Also Great

A less expensive alternative from the Breville family is the Breville Juice Fountain Compact BJE200XL. The main difference between this one and the 
Breville Juice Fountain Elite 800 is really just the smaller motor (700 Watt) and the white plastic casing. It still makes great juice for $100.

Acme Supreme Juicerator – Decent Alternative Outside of Breville Juice family

If you are looking for another more reasonably priced alternative with a longer warranty outside of the Breville family, the Acme Supreme Juicerator 5001 is also a great juicer to consider. This was my first juicer. It’s not a sleek as the high end stainless steel offering from Breville, but it has a good motor (550 Watt) and it’s quick to clean. It’s also competitively priced (~$175 – $200).

The Norwalk Juicer – Best Juicer on the Market (But Super Expensive)

The Norwalk Juicer, originally designed by raw juice therapy pioneer Dr. Norman Walker, is by far the best juicer on the market. However, it is very expensive (~$2,500) and not quite as user friendly for those new to juicing. Most commercial juice bars, and juicing fanatics use the Norwalk Juicer for the quality of the juice it makes. This juicer enables juice to be made and stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days without losing any of the vitamins or enzymes in the juice. With all other juicers, the juice must be consumed almost immediately. The Norwalk Juicer also comes with a hydraulic press which further extracts juice and nutrients from the pulp. The clean up, of course, is a bit more involved.
